The start of the 2024/25 premier league has not gone to the exact expectations of supporters of Manchester United. After finishing strong last season by winning the English FA cup against last season’s premier league champions Manchester City sold exciting dreams to supporters of the club about this season.
A bad start to the season saw the club changing coaches and appointing Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim as the manager of the side.
A change of coach didn’t exactly turn the fortunes of the club around as the club has lost its last three matches in the league and the last four in all competitions.
Manchester United now sits at 14th position on the league table and is just seven points above the relegation table. This has sparked outrage from the fan base of the club.
During the manager’s post match conference after their 2:0 home defeat against Newcastle united, he admitted that he acknowledges that his side can be considered for relegation battle as results keeps getting worse.
United remains one of six teams to not be relegated from the premier league since the current format was introduced.
